Piece of Advice for First Year Students:

Take advantage of opportunities that put you out of your comfort zone as much as possible! The organizations I've applied to and the interviews I've gone on that I didn't think I would like or thought I had no shot of getting are the opportunities that have shaped my college experience the most. Unfamiliar and uncomfortable experiences force you to learn a lot about who you are and really help you grow as a person. I have a deeper understanding of myself, my strengths, and my weaknesses because of all the times I said yes to something I wasn't sure about. So much is new during your first year of college - get excited, soak it all up, and take advantage of all the amazing opportunities Georgia Tech has to offer!
